What does hip hop have in common with a brise vole?
Nothing much, apart from the fact that Amy can do them both and, if necessary, switch instantly from one to the other with grace and pose, which is one of the reasons she has been nominated twice for VMA’s “Best Choreography” Usher’s “OMG” and Jason Derulo’s multi cultural dance style music video “Talk Dirty.”

 

On television: Amy has worked on some of the most sought after jobs in the business, her choreography, and charming smile can be seen in So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Ellen, American Idol, X Factor, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel, The Today’s Show, GMA, David Letterman, Ellen and The Voice. Amy has been the Choreographer and Assistant Choreographer behind many of the most iconic Artists and Choreography Teams, creating memorable moments in the Industry.  Her performance and choreography have been showcased at the Nobel Peace Prize, European Music Awards, MTV Video Music, Soul Train, American Music Awards MTV Movie Awards, Kids Choice Awards, iHeart, and Grammy`s, and BET Awards.

 

Artist development is one of her specialties, her mix of being a tough cookie and a caring individual allows for clients to blossom under her tutelage i.e.: Jason Derulo who she developed since 2010. Amy’s ability to blend classic dance-styles with her distinct hip-hop flavor she has also choreographed for Usher, Britney Spears, Ne-Yo, Ciara, Jennifer Hudson, Hilary Duff, Justin Bieber, Will Smith, Ciara, FGL, Faith Hill, Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Florence and the Machine, Pit Bull, Hailee Steinfeld and many others.

 

Film: Amy’s experience and unique talent has led her to working with an impressive group of filmmakers and actors, Ang Lee’s upcoming movie “Billy Lynn’s Half Time Walk."  Playing dual roles in Topher Grace’s “Opening Night” a new age musical with a star-studded cast including Topher, Taye Diggs, JC Chasez, Lauren Lapkus, and Rob Riggle, Amy choreographed and showcased her star-studded legs in a chorus line meets Chicago style scene.

Commercial:For Amy, dance is more than an art form, it`s the creative expression of life, it`s everything and in everything. The commercial industry feeds this part of Amy’s soul!! She’s worked with clients like Master Card, iPod, Super Bowl, and LG.

 

Foundation, Training, and Education!  Amy has worked with Choreographers, Artists, and Directors who helped her enrich her creative personality and shape her technical skills. Fatima, Hi Hat, Rich & Tone, Jamaica, and Aakomon are just a few of the Predecessors that Amy trained under and often times acted as the Right-Hand. 

In addition to spending her time as a Creative Director, Artist Developer and Choreographer, Amy enjoys giving back to the community. She has toured the world teaching and mentoring dancers, taking pride in giving many dancers their start and being key in their development. Amy has never stopped learning, growing and venturing into new fields. She took on the production industry as a set designer when she created Jason Derulo’s set for his World Tour and TV performances.  Amy didn’t just stop with hands-on training she also sought out educational courses in construction and set design courses in Vectorworks.
